You may be asking
yourself, "What is a tzedaka? To put it simply, a tzedaka (sted kah')
is an act of kindness, compassion and mercy. You may even say say it
is a charitable deed.
With unemployment
at an all-time high, and the economy at such a low, we all know
someone who is struggling; someone who is less fortunate than
ourselves. I have been setting aside money for sometime now, and I
always find some way to help others. It may be buying groceries for
someone, or it may be a tank of gas for someone else. There is
always some way that I can reach out to those in need. But, while
the little bit that I do may help, there are so many others that
need help. I do what I can, but there has to be a way to do
more.
Therefore, I
have decided to use my website to get help to more of those in need.
After all of the legal issues are worked out, this website will
serve a two-fold purpose. First, it will provide a way for those who
have finances to contribute to the well-being of their fellow man.
Secondly, it will provide a way for those in need to ask for help.
There is still
a lot of work to do in order to make it happen. In the meantime, I
strongly urge those of you who have your needs met to look around
you for those who are struggling. You don't have to give millions of
dollars, but you can feed a hungry family. Be kind... |
